Starring: Mataolin 'Panda' Coffey & Louis Baker
Panda, a funky, soulful singer/songwriter classifying his music as "Soul Folk", will be headlining the bill at The Garden Club on Dixon St., Wellington.
Panda is returning to Wellington, after topping the New Zealand indie charts for the previous 6 months, back from touring the U.S. of A. and ready to kick off his 5th Annual 'Te Wai Pounamu' Tour. He will be headlining a show joined by opening act and Wellington favourite, R&B artist, Louis Baker on this outstanding, music-filled Friday night.
Bringing with him a unique blend of Folk, Blues, Soul & Jazz with an unmistakable funk. Whom Stu Cook, the bass player from CCR has called, "...one of the most talented singers I've ever heard."
Joining him on stage will be some really fantastic musicians, veterans from the local Wellington music scene. The funky rhythm section of Mostyn Cole on bass and Reuben Bradley on drums, Ike Campbell on guitar along with special guest Jared Taylor on keyboards.
Tickets are $20.00 at the door on the night but pre-sales tickets are available online from here @ Dazzle Tickets for $18.00.
